Wild Herbalist:: Foraging Weeds as SuperHerbs, part 1

Red Clover (Blossoms): Trifolium Pratense.

FINDING RED CLOVER::

I just picked wild Red Clover and showed my daughter how it looks dried and in full flower. The hot pink flowers are completely gorgeous hues of soft pink and vibrant cyans bouncing off its green leaves. I’m excited and I wont stop talking about “super herbs”.  My kids are growing numb to my extreme enthusiasm. I am moving from herbalist in theory, to wild herbalist. The idea of moving out from under books into the wild earth around me is both fascinating and riveting. “This is how it was meant to be,” I think, “living in harmony with Earth.” Taking this herbal knowledge to the next level into the world outside is amazing; I cant wait to dive in tomorrow.

Funny this thing called synchronicity. I’m in the midst of transitions (breathing) and all I can do or want to do is practice drumming, yoga (embracing Kemetic Yoga with renowned Yoga Master and Founder of YogaSkills, Yirser Ra Hotep), and burrow into my Raw Food Nutrition Certification course. Today, I awaken and grabbed my Prescription for Nutritional Healing, remembering the herbs I grew to love and depend upon. I took a yellow highlighter, spotting the ones, used for an array of illness and remedies; those I had in my own cupboard.
